We are not currently offering traditional tastings, but do offer wine flights for a self-guided tasting. You may choose 4 wines from our current tasting menu and will receive a 1.5 oz pour of each wine.

Do you allow children ?

Absolutely, we love kids....the owner actually has 6 of her own! Children and young adults are welcome in our outdoor space and the main floor of our building. The upper floor and deck are reserved for adults 21 years of age or older. For the safety and enjoyment of everyone we do ask that children remain under the direct supervision of an adult at all times.

Do you allow pets?

Yes, but only outside the building. The Ag District Center is home to our commercial kitchen and the Locksley Farmstead Cheese creamery, so per Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulations we cannot allow animals in the building. Service animals are allowed, but please remember that a service animal is defined by the American Disabilities Act as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform a task for an individual with a disability. Pets must be leashed at all times and all waste must be cleaned up immediately.

Are groups allowed?

Groups of more than 8 people must call in advance to review our group policies. Please email TR-Manager@ChrysalisWine.com. This includes all busses, limos and other group transportation. We reserve the right to refuse service to groups who have not called ahead. Groups must be aware that if any member of the group appears to be intoxicated or behaves in any manner that is offensive to our staff or guests then the entire group may be asked to leave.

Can we have our birthday party, bridal shower, wedding, etc. at the Ag District Center?

We do not allow private parties and events at the Ag District Center. We understand that you may want to enjoy the experience at the Ag District with your friends and family, however we do not reserve space and ask that you do not occupy more table space than necessary for the number of people present. We do not allow outside food or beverages, decorations (including balloons), buffet tables, or movement of our furnishings.

Can we bring beer, alcohol, or wine?

Absolutely no outside alcohol is permitted. Virginia ABC law prohibits ANY alcohol on the property other than that produced by Chrysalis Vineyards. Please remember that if you make wine purchases at other vineyards prior to your arrival, those purchases must remain in your parked and locked vehicle. Anyone who refuses to comply with the law will be asked to leave.

Do you allow outside food?

We do not allow any outside food or beverages to be brought to our property. We have a variety of artisan cheeses produced right here on the farm as well as fresh breads, crackers, dips and spreads. The Little River Bakehouse is open to serve pizza, paninis, salads and other delicious foods.

I don't see any vines, do you grow your grapes?

Yes, we do grow our own fruit. Our farm is over 400 acres with 50 acres of the southern side planted in several varietals. Our Norton vines comprise 40 acres, the largest planting of Norton in the world. Our Hollin Vineyard, located in Delaplane, VA, has an additional 20 acres of varietals that do better at a slightly higher elevation.

Can I have wine shipped to me?

Yes, we do ship our wine. Due to local regulations there are some localities to which we cannot ship. You can purchase and ship wine online using our secure shopping cart. If you have questions please call the tasting room at 540-687-8222 ext. 0. One of our staff members will be happy to take your order and confirm that we are able to ship to the desired location. Please remember that all alcohol shipments require that someone over the age of 21 be present to sign upon delivery.

How can I become a part of the fabulous staff at the Ag District?
