Our Vision,
Policies and Expectations Children Visiting Chrysalis Vineyards... a note from Jennifer McCloud, Proprietor “When I began the design of Chrysalis Vineyards, I envisioned a beautiful oasis in the Virginia countryside where adults could put away the stresses and noises of the city and hectic family life. I wanted to create an island of respite and relaxation where adult friends and family could share time together over a delightful glass of wine and complementary food. It is important to me to preserve this vision and create the most memorable experience possible for our guests. Toward this end, it is our policy that Chrysalis Vineyards is an adult environment, and we ask those guests that arrive with children to respect this policy and this vision. We all love children (I have six!), but there are some venues that are just inappropriate for children. I believe a winery is one of those.” We have provided a spacious and beautiful area, front and center overlooking our pond, and designated it as The Family Area. This area is specifically for parents who come with their children to picnic while they taste and drink our wine and we simply ask that the children be supervised and consideration given to others. Please keep your child well behaved and with you at all times in the Family Area only while at Locksley Estate. Picnic Areas for Guests Visiting Chrysalis Vineyards Please remember that Chrysalis Vineyards is not a public park. The gas grills, picnic tables and other property amenities are for the use of our wine-buying customers only. Bringing Alcohol to Chrysalis Vineyards It is absolutely forbidden at any time for any alcoholic beverage (liquor, beer, or wine) to be brought onto the Chrysalis Vineyards’ farm winery property. This is not just a policy; this IS an ABC regulation - in other words, a Virginia law. Pets at Chrysalis Vineyards All pets visiting Chrysalis Vineyards must be kept on a leash at all times. |

Hours of Operation
– Tasting our Wines We have two wine tasting options. Our Estate Tasting (7 wines) is $5 and the Reserve Tasting (12 wines) is $10. Our wines are poured in an INAO-styled glass (the internationally recognized Institut National d'Appellation d'Origine wine tasting glass is the “finest inexpensive tasting glass in the world.” - Robert Parker), which is yours to keep. The Estate Tasting uses a 7¼ oz. glass, and the Reserve Tasting a larger 10½ oz. glass. Our offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm.
