This wine is smooth, dark, and sophisticated. Notes of spice and cherries carry the aromatics to the palate. Dark chocolate, raspberry, and subtle earthy tones reflect the old world flavors. The backbone of this wine is reinforced with firm tannins from the Tannat and has a subtle espresso finish. A touch of Petit Verdot works to push through ripe blueberries and plum.

This wine will pair nicely with wild mushroom and mozzarella risotto cakes or wild mushroom soup. Lamb Kofta Curry and steak au poivre will work as well. Filet Mignon, sautéed asparagus, and garlic mash potatoes, venison Osso Buco with creamy shitake mushroom risotto all pair wonderfully with this awesome blend. Finish with an Autumn Spice Cake or dark chocolate truffles.
